Role Summary/Purpose:

The Engineer in Product Definition Engineering will demonstrates independent execution and utilizing his expertise to solve technical problems and ensure Quality and on-time delivery.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Create definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies in the form of 2D cross sections, 3D models, tolerance stack-ups, and various electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection 
* Create CAD models in a linked model environment using UG Assemblies and Components functionality, as well as check, validate, and issue UG master models and associated drawings 
* Determine dimensional constraints and geometric tolerances required for proper clearances and fits while maximizing manufacturing capabilities 
* Conceptual designs of the components considering stack-ups, tolerances & assembly aspects and work on to update the same on 2D engine cross section 
* Ensure all interface characteristics between components are established and agreed upon by the designers of mating parts 
* Strong working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerance as it relates to individual parts and overall assemblies (ASME Y14.5) 
* Work within the guidelines of applicable GE Policies & Procedures, Engineering Standards, Product Definition Operating Procedures, Specifications and Commercial Standards.

Qualifications/Requirements:

B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical/Aerospace/Production/Automobile Engineering with 0 to 3 years of experience

Desired Characteristics:

*Good working knowledge of Unigraphics/3D engineering softwares 
*Good knowledge on manufacturing processes, assembly procedures and Materials 
*Strong oral and written communication skills 
*Strong interpersonal skills
